Recently I received five of Avon’s Mark. Epic lipsticks in PR for review, when I saw the colours I just knew that I needed to share them with you in a full blog post. Avon describes these lipsticks as having an in-built primer so they are long-lasting but do not leave a cakey finish. They come in a range of 20 shades and I believe they are releasing a few more this month. Best of all, they cost only £5.50, so I was super excited and hopeful that they would be great!
I received a nude (rosy outlook), orange/red (coral burst), bright pink (be loud), purple (temptress) & a true red (berry bold). I’m a sucker for a red lip but for some reason don’t really get along with true reds, so the orange/red was a definite favourite for me.
When I was swatching the lipsticks I felt like most of the colours were very pigmented and gave a completely opaque swatch. However, the purple was harder to swatch and didn’t leave a completely solid line. They were very creamy and soft and did leave a bit of a stain when I washed them off, which seems promising for wear time.
Once again, all of the colours except purple looked amazing on the lip and were very solid colour. The purple wasn’t a bad lipstick at all, but I just wasn’t as wow-ed as I was with the others. I wore the orange/red shade for the rest of the day and was very very impressed with the wear! It lasted about 5/6 hours in total.
